About Monica

Monica is a licensed acupuncturist, biodynamic massage therapist, biodynamic craniosacral therapist, and experienced teacher of yoga, qigong, and biodynamic cranial and massage therapy. With a deep commitment to holistic healing, Monica combines ancient traditional practices with her current understanding of the body’s natural rhythms to support health, wellness, and transformation.

Having worked with a wide range of clients, from those seeking relief from pain to those looking for profound emotional and spiritual growth, Monica is dedicated to fostering a deeper connection to the body, mind, and spirit. Through acupuncture, hands-on therapies, and movement practices, Monica helps individuals tap into their innate capacity for healing and balance.

As a teacher, Monica guides students with a gentle, intuitive approach, sharing a wealth of knowledge and empowering them to deepen their own practice. With a focus on the biodynamic approach to craniosacral therapy and massage, Monica fosters an environment of learning that encourages both personal and professional growth.

Outside of the treatment room, Monica loves being outdoors—sitting by a fire, hiking with her dogs, and swimming in natural water. She continues to explore and deepen her understanding of healing arts.

She looks forward to meeting you and assist you on your journey towards greater embodiment and connection with life.

Bodywork Training

From 2007 to 2010 she mentored with Bill Frazier LAc, whose unique treatment style of combining 5 Element Acupuncture with manual qigong techniques inspired her to incorporate qigong and craniosacral therapy within her Acupuncture treatments.

In 2010, she began studying Biodynamic Massage and Biodynamic Cranial Therapy with Todd Jackson and completed an intensive 9 month mentorship with him in 2012. She continues to study with him regularly, and integrates these skills into her bodywork practice.

In 2014, Monica completed Carol Gray's training in Craniosacral Therapy for Infants, and was lucky enough to work regularly with newborns and infants in her office at the Aurora Family Health and Midwifery Clinic from 2015-2018.

Education And Studies

In her B.A. studies at the University of California Santa Cruz she majored in Medical Anthropology and Human Biology, and went on to study various forms of movement and energetic therapies including massage, craniosacral therapy, and herbal studies.

In 2000, her training with yoga inspired her to study the Chinese meridian system in relationship to her Hatha yoga practice. She initiated formal training in Oriental Medicine in 2005 and received her Masters degree in Oriental Medicine from the National College of Natural Medicine in 2009, where she took advantage of extra courses in Qigong, Taichi, and Shiatsu.
Classes and Workshops
Monica teaches Beginning and Intermediate Biodynamic Craniosacral and Massage workshops for Todd Jackson's Biodynamic curriculum. These are available to licensed bodyworkers as well as students of a licensed bodywork school.

She teaches Qigong retreats for the National University of Natural Medicine for Chinese Medicine students as well as Qigong and Yoga classes locally.
